Born in Athens, Greece and living in Germany until he was 7 years old Rik then moved to the United States where he has been serving the underground scene music since 1995 as one of the influential DJ's in pioneering the electronic dance scene in Colorado and beyond. What inspires him is when people get moved by the deep house, indy dance, tech house, minimal and techno he has been blessed to discover deep within his crates. He enjoys to take his music selections compiling them with composition and mixing that upholds to the originality, quality and sound of the producers tracks. 

Currently DJ'ing under his name Rik Sotero he represents under the label - WoWoWax. In the past you may also have heard of him with the alias names Doc Holiday in his early progressive hard house years or Defiance when he started spinning and scratching hip hop. 

Rik has the ability to find the right balance to fit the mood of any event from undergrounds to clubs to festivals to fashion shows, art shows, lounges and sporting events. He can adapt his style to create the perfect ambience for any atomsphere . For example; at a particular new years event Rik played electronic music for his church while pastors prayed the New Year in! For special occasions he has even busted out vinyl playing old school hip hop, acid jazz and reggae along with other forms of electronic dance music from breaks to dubstep.

Much of his musical influences come from his mother, playing trumpet and drums growing up while listening to punk rock, 80’s new wave and hip hop. He also produced snowboard & motocross films for 10 years where he mixed the soundtracks on vinyl live including genres of rock n roll and hip hop. He says “editing films resembles matching a beat in making sure everything is in sync with the proper rhythm that gives it the perfect flow". Being a late bloomer in life Rik has been finally producing tracks and is starting to release a few of his productions.  He has also produced and organized hundreds of events booking top rated DJ’s. 

He calls Cabo San Lucas, Mexico home and feels blessed to have become part of the local house music scene with it’s warm and beautiful people! He is always eager and excited to shine on your next event with the music he spends endless of hours researching. With his close relationship with Jesus, when he plays live he is motivated by bringing love and light from deep within his soul and out through the speakers.
